Being maskholes was their claim to fame. They were the 'in your face rebels' showing everyone how big, bad, brave, and stupid they were. But with many vaccinated people choosing to not wear masks now the unvaccinated maskholes are left with nothing to prove how tough they are except for maybe getting Covid and if lucky surviving it with no long term consequences. They won't even be able to recognize each other. This could turn out to be an identity crisis for them. The poor little things will have to find something else to let people know they are idiots. But I have every confidence they will succeed in that endeavor.

Which until today has included me.

We have read on DU for over a year we need to follow the science. Now science tells us that if you are fully vaccinated you have just under a one and million chance of dying from Covid. And a less than one in one in 10,000 chance of getting it. So it is no longer necessary to mask up if vaccinated in most cases.

But post after post on DU seem to discount the science and criticize the recommendations.

Because wearing a mask has become as political for the some on the left as some on the right.

I'm still going to wear a mask for awhile when in stores because it will make me feel more comfortable. If I wear a mask and don't need to, it doesn't hurt me or anybody else. However, those who refused to wear a mask and were not vaccinated not only put themselves at risk, they put others at risk. So that's a big difference.

Will people continue dying from Covid? Unquestionably. But we vaccinated have just under a one in a million chance of dying. 100 million vaccinated Americans. Less than 150 deaths. The data speak for its.

I am going to be able to wear my hand made "Lock Him Up" earrings again. I wore my ant just-tRump mask for a year without any earrings since they get all tangled up. Now I can switch back to earrings and I revamped them...they look brand new and ready for 2021.
