Pelosi said the GOP is, "punishing Members who tell the truth" about Trump's election loss and his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, per a statement posted to her website.

"Nothing less is at stake than out democracy," Pelosi said in an interview with PBS on Wednesday.
"Maybe she's more, shall we say, compliant," Pelosi said in reference to Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), who has been floated as Cheney's replacement as House Republican conference chair.

24. I'm guessing that Tedra Cobb from up north will run against her again

It was close the last time and she garnered a lot of national support. There have been numerous Democratic challengers, I think there were 10 in the last primary, but Tedra Cobb won. NY-21 was represented by a moderate Democrat until 2015 when long-time Rep. Bill Owens retired. He chose a successor, Aaron Woolf, and I went to the meetup where Owens introduced him and I liked him a lot, made GOTV calls for him, but Stefanik won. I'm sure that she'll have more challengers this time around, but it looks like Tedra Cobb is running again.

There were even discussions about her here on DU. There have been protests against Stefanik since she first took office, she stopped publicizing her schedule ahead of time because she knew protesters would show up. And this was before she attracted national attention by standing up with Gym Jordan during the first impeachment hearings on national TV. She's obviously taken a hard MAGA turn, but the protests and the opposition started well before that. Tedra Cobb had some national support and I'm guessing that she'll have an even greater national profile this time around after the amount of publicity Stefanik's been getting.
