Gaetz Buddy's Plea Agreement Reveals New Sex Trafficking Details

https://talkingpointsmemo.com/muckraker/gaetz-buddys-plea-agreement-reveals-new-sex-trafficking-details

A newly filed plea agreement for Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL)’s former buddy Joel Greenberg sheds new light on how other men allegedly participated in the sex trafficking scheme to which the former Seminole County tax collector is set to plead guilty.

According to the plea agreement, filed in federal court in Orlando on Friday, Greenberg is set to admit that he paid a minor to have sex with him, and introduced her to other men in the area.

“Greenberg also introduced the Minor to other adult men, who engaged in commercial sex acts with the Minor in the Middle District of Florida,” the agreement reads.

Greenberg will plead guilty to six felony counts, the agreement says and Business Insider first reported.

He didn't move down to Florida until he was already a multi-millionaire. Even after he bought the Florida house, he still lived in NYC half the year.

Fun fact: Epstein was the guy who found out that the Mar-A-Lago property was for sale at a dirt-cheap price. He was going to bid on it, but he went to his pal Chump and asked his opinion on the property. Chump delayed answering, and then he went and bought it for himself, and totally screwed his old friend. Epstein never spoke to Chump again after that. Nice guy, huh?

and let's remember this is a plea deal -- in which the defendant is generally allowed to plead DOWN.

-- and as much cooperative testimony against others as they can squeeze out.
And, yeah -- pretty sure the got it. (only smart play for the defendant)

What I have trouble believing -- and I guess we'll find out -- is that anyone with half a brain (which doesn't include Gaetz) would be stupid enough to be 'hanging out' or associating with this moron. But, you know -- "boys will be -- f*ckwits"

Both Greenberg and Gaetz are young, fairly influential, and would be attractive enough for plenty of young women to have sex with them on that basis alone. Why did they decide to pay for sex?

The women would think they're gonna bag him in a real relationship.

Far easier to pay them to go away.

In exchange, the prosecutors agreed to dismiss the other 27 counts Greenberg faced and recommend a term within federal sentencing guidelines, which are often far less than the statutory maximum penalties. They also agreed to recommend other possible sentencing breaks, especially if Greenberg provides meaningful help on other cases.

The agreement, which still must be accepted by a judge, is an ominous sign for Gaetz. Even before he had accepted a plea deal, Greenberg had been outlining to prosecutors how he and Gaetz (R-Fla.) would pay women for sex, in hopes of convincing them he could be a witness against the congressman and earn a break for himself.

Gaetz has not been charged with any crimes and denies wrongdoing.

Prosecutors filed with the plea agreement a lengthy statement of facts, the most detailed account of the case against Greenberg to date, outlining how he paid for women and the minor to perform sex acts not just for him, but for unidentified “others.” And his plea deal offered him even more incentive to help prosecutors build cases against those people.

HOLY MOLEY, Batman!! This sets a new standard for under-bus-throwing.

criminal and legal matters.

Sometimes I'm confused when I do my quick skim thing, but now I'm pretty clear it's never about Gaetz, it's always about his good pal Greenberg.

Daily Beast reporter saying they've talked to DOZENS of women at these parties. Ecstacy mentioned, a no-show government job in the tax office for an escort .... this seems like it's going to be a spicy road.
