Researchers have found just 12 people are responsible for the bulk of the misleading claims and outright lies about COVID-19 vaccines that proliferate on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

"The 'Disinformation Dozen' produce 65% of the shares of anti-vaccine misinformation on social media platforms," said Imran Ahmed, chief executive officer of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, which identified the accounts.

9. This anti-vax BS has been around for years

Long before Covid reared its ugly head, the anti-vaxxers were saying things like "vaccines cause autism." Jenny McCarthy (the actress married to Donnie Walberg) has been spouting this for over 10 years.

Jenny McCarthy doesn't appear on this list but she is a leading anti-vaxxer, and she has been crusading since her own son was diagnosed with autism. I'm not sure when that happened, but it was before 2010.
