According to the FBI, Law enforcement and minorities were the primary target of domestic violent extremists in 2017.

In 2018, racially motivated and sovereign citizens played an outsized role in domestic extremism.

They may have purposely buried the lede in page 22 of the document. But heres the real importance of the report. From 2015 to 2019, the FBI and its colleagues arrested 846 people. 2016 was the most prolific year.

FBI produced 4,000 reports on domestic terrorism over the four years. DHS produced ~1150 reports over three years.

It takes five paragraphs for the FBI to deftly dodge answering the simply question of how many personnel they have working on domestic extremism.
