WASHINGTON The "National Garden of American Heroes" envisioned by former President Donald Trump is no more.

Biden also got rid of Trump's requirement that legal immigrants have health insurance.
Biden said it doesn't benefit the United States to block immigrants who "lack significant financial means or have not purchased health insurance coverage from a restrictive list of qualifying plans."
The other Trump orders revoked were intended to:
Enact stricter penalties for defacing historical monuments.
Make it easier to sue social media companies.

The rest of the spots would have gone to the highest bidders.

(12,157 posts)How big was this garden supposed to be? It was going to have like a hundred statues in it, according to the order. Sheesh!
I do have to say I'd approve of a statue of Miles Davis, for example, not to mention Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Eleanor Roosevelt, and many of the others on the list. Of course, the plans also includes statues of Jeane Kirkpatrick, William Rehnquist, Ronald Reagan, and Antonin Scalia. My guess is the right-wing assholes would have been the first to be installed, and then -- so unfortunate! -- other funding priorities would have prevented the rest from being added.
Who can say, but knowing the Trump maladministration, it's easy to foresee such an outcome.
And "Reduce criminal liabilities for violating federal regulations"?? Why was this supposed to be a good idea? No doubt the goal was to allow desecration and pollution for profit on a massive scale.
