Costco: Masks not required if you're vaccinated

President and CEO of Costco Craig Jelinek released a statement today updating Costco’s policy regarding face coverings in their locations.

The statement, directed at Costco members, revised their mask mandate policy, saying that in states that do not have a mask mandate, customers who are fully vaccinated will not be required to wear a mask.

Additionally, Costco will not be requiring proof of vaccination, but ask customers to be responsible and respectfully cooperate with the policy.

Face coverings will still be required in certain areas of the stores, including pharmacy, optical and hearing aids.

They might as well just say they will no longer require masks, period. I'm disappointed in their decision.

12. Not as much that I'm afraid of infection

Bill Maher is asymptomatic in spite of being vaccinated. If that's so it's possible the rest of us could be carriers. I'll continue to wear a mask to lessen the possibility, no matter how remote, that I might infect others.
