It's what comes into my head when trouble starts.
Foreign policy based on faith. Domestic policy based on faith.
Don't get me wrong... nothing wrong with having faith, as long as it doesn't give anyone license to harm others.

(3,666 posts)worst enemies. These feuds from one generation to another are so sad and misplaced. They don't seem to accomplish much of anything except continued warfare. It really is too sad.

Nothing wrong with faith if it makes you a better person. But others will hijack it for their own profit or establish themselves in positions of power. But it is concerning some on the right want to go back to that.

(13,912 posts)I see it as who drew the line in the sand first. Who owned what, when.. It seems that every major power in Europe has redrawn the "lines" on the map of the Middle East at some point and pissed someone off..
Oh and the "god gave us the land" story is getting old no matter who said it.. YMMV
