taking a walk. Good grief. I love pet cats but because of what I've learned about cat behavior and skills from living with them, I have a very strong respect for (and fear of) their wild cousins.

So, you can be living in a luxury housing development, and the dill-weed next door can have a Krit and a Cobra in his house. The only requirement is the person submit to a state inspection once per year and supply anti-venom to a local hospital (like that will help in the case of a lethal snakebite that can kill a person within an hour).

However, when a hugely lethal animal is loose in a neighbourhood of human beings, my first thought wasn't "I hope the tiger is OK." Is it not normal to be concerned about innocent bystanders.

Tigers are not known for being well-armed, other than claws and teeth. I just meant that my first reaction was "Was anyone hurt or killed?
