Aides to Joe Biden describe the president as having a 'short fuse' but he never erupts in fits of

rage like Donald Trump

President Joe Biden is "obsessed with detail" and will "often snap" if advisors don't answer his many questions, the New York Times reported Friday.

In an in-depth new portrait by Times, more than a dozen former and current staffers paint a picture of a president who takes his time with the decision-making process, making sure he gets opinions from all sides before coming to a conclusion.

"He has a kind of mantra: 'You can never give me too much detail,''' Biden's National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told the Times.

But Biden is also gripped by a sense of urgency, which leaves him prone to "flares of impatience," the Times reported.

when people are thinking slower than you are or you need them to be.

I suspect that is what happens to Joe. It doesn't have to lead to an explosion. Exasperation does not equal a temper fit, unless you choose it to.

statement. Mine can say i have a short fuse but like I told the kids, you didn't see the ten times I was patient before tht fuse finally popped off. Don't see the patients, only see the moment of short fuse and since I have literally watched him control that fuse, I ponder that.

I don't know about anyone else but I WANT a President that does that. The best ones do.

The last guy was an extreme extrovert - he would rant, scream and yell at people, would never listen to advice, and refused to take criticism.

Joe Biden is an introvert, albeit a very balanced one. He listens, seeks input, explores options, and tries to get as well-rounded a view of the situation as possible. When people take up too much of his time with low-value input he likely does get impatient.

Introverts keep their emotions very much in check, especially negative ones, though if you are an introvert yourself you can usually sense when other introverts are annoyed because they become less responsive in conversations. Extroverts will often take the lack of response not as a warning sign but as an invitation to continue the annoying behavior, then when the introvert finally has had enough and responds sharply, the extrovert pulls out the passive/aggressive label.

I see the RW media already gearing up with that as a base theme - Biden is peevish, gets annoyed easily, is passive/aggressive. There's definitely negative messaging at play.
