There were 289 deaths yesterday, the 7-day moving average is at 616 deaths / day.

Monday is a low reporting day, and early in the morning is before almost anything has been reported.

Yesterday's new cases total was 17,834.

failing to report ... I follow worldometer pretty much daily
NC never reports Saturday or Sunday as do other states, so the #s are
never current

And that average is down from 635 at the beginning of May, a 12% drop over two weeks. That is down from 3,422 7 day moving average at the beginning of the year which represents a 84% drop from the beginning of the year.

You get a much better idea of what's going on by looking at it in the late eve, middle of the week.
