Donald Trump killed 2 people I know

Just as sure as if he had shot them with a gun, they are dead today.

I know 2 people who died of Covid, both would still be alive if anyone else had been President, or if Trump had simply followed the science on Covid and repeated what the experts were saying. In both cases, it's clear his failures are the exact cause of their deaths.

My wife's aunt was sweet little old lady who trusted her kids and loved to spend time with her grand kids. So when her daughter and son in law both tested positive for Covid 3 days before Thanksgiving, but told her she should come over for dinner anyways because they didn't have symptoms and they heard you can't spread it if asymptomatic she felt some apprehension, but relented when they pressured her into it. This was a lie Trump repeated and members of his administration repeated many times early in the pandemic, so it didn't matter that he later acknowledged asymptomatic transmission was happening, the lies stuck in some people's heads. These were Trumpers , they thought the virus was overblown and they weren't going to live in fear. They listened when they heard their President say this, “I encourage all Americans to gather, in homes and places of worship, to offer a prayer of thanks to God for our many blessings,” Trump the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. She caught Covid that day, was in the hospital 1 week later, was on a vent a week after that, and died shortly after a few days before Christmas. This was a woman in her late 60s, she had at least 10, maybe 20 good years left in her life. Dead directly because of Trump's lies.

My niece's roommate was a good person, not the brightest guy, but he never drank or did drugs, and he worked hard to care for his wife and their disabled daughter. He was not very political, but he bought into the masks are bad for you lie, he refused to wear a mask, he refused to get vaccinated or let his wife get vaccinated. In short he believed Trump, this was fearmongering, young people weren't at risk. Just 38 years old, he, his wife, and child all got Covid a month ago, they recovered, he started getting worse so he drove himself to the hospital one day, they admitted him, he would never leave. He died about 10 days ago, his final FB posts in the hospital before going on a vent are heartbreaking. So alone, and so scared. His last words to FB were about how he was so wrong and everyone needs to get vaccinated and wear masks, then he said he was off to the ICU and that's the last time he posted. Dead, directly because of Trump's lies. This was a good person, he wasn't a fanatic, he was a simple person who believed the President, you should be able to believe the President and not die from it.

600,000 dead, I wonder how many of them directly because of stories like mine, or maybe stories not like mine, but stories about people who didn't listen to Trump, but caught it anyway because of exposure to people who did. He killed hundreds of thousands, as we come out of this, never let anyone forget that.

were often spreaders. By Thanksgiving anyone who thought or said otherwise was an idiot.

Same with anyone who buys into the bullshit about masks or vaccinations. I'm sorry those two people died, but they are themselves responsible for not believing the science. Not Trump. They, themselves. Trump is just one of many who spread lies and misinformation, not the only one who did.
