(7,282 posts)big ole proud boy smiling like there's no tomorrow. Although, I haven't seen it since, I know it went viral enough at the time, someone has screen shot it, I'm sure of it. hopefully they sent it on to the Feds.
But yeah, he's definitely connected even if only posing.

(8,756 posts)The man has no personality or political will of his own, so he must borrow that from someone else... a political doppelganger. First McCain, then Trump. Now that Trump is fading fast he is hunting for the next person he'll try to clone.

Have lots of ready.

(82,849 posts)Why? Is Sen. Graham saying the results of the election weren't on the up and up? If reforms to vote-by-mail are needed, why? There's been no evidence, no showing of voter misconduct or fraud. Is he saying the county election registrars suddenly aren't able to maintain voter rolls, something they've been doing for centuries?
We vote by mail in Oregon, have for decades, and it's been state law since 2001. I renewed my registration to vote in my county the last time I moved in 2010. Is Sen. Graham saying that I have to troop down to the election registrar's office and renew my registration every time there's a primary or an election? Why? Nothing has changed for my registration. Oregon conducts its elections safely, securely, and for less money. I usually vote on a fine weekend morning, lingering over a second cup of coffee while consulting the state-issued Voters' Pamphlet that lists all the offices and referenda I'm eligible to cast a ballot for. If I get stuck on a race or an issue, I can go online and see what folks are saying about any particular item. I can't do that in a voter's booth.
We don't have long, long lines of people waiting to vote because everyone can do it from the comfort of their home. Electioneering or harassment of voters is nonexistent in Oregon because the assholes don't have voters kettled outside precincts waiting to vote. They want to try to intimidate voters, they have to go door to door. Finally, while the envelope for my ballot is postage paid, I take it to one of dozens of state drop-off bins dotted around the city. We get higher voter turnout, so the results more accurately conform to the will of the people.
And maybe that's what bothers Graham and his Republican friends more than anything else.
