Lawyer for insurrectionist having a fight with John Berman on CNN

He is claiming that the January 6th insurrectionists are suffering from problems on the Autism Spectrum and that they are emotionally and mentally vulnerable. He claims these people are all compromised and that they are being exploited and abused in custody. He is arguing they are being held in a Gulag and has used very non-PC language to describe his client and others.

This lawyer, Albert Watkins - lawyer for the "Q Shaman", is right out of Central Casting. He is over the top obnoxious.

I don't take it seriously, but he's doing nothing more than lawyers always do: Make the accused the victim. In this case there is some truth in it. We all know it wouldn't have happened without FG and the echo chamber.

The term he used for his client and the rest of the insurrectionists was "fucking short-bus people" who had been subjected to Hitler-level propaganda for years. It's all over the news this morning.

Hey, lawyer Watkins: Tell your "Shaman" client that we appreciate his choice of legal representation!

and think he as a point about the mental state of the typical MAGAt. Without the hurtful vulgarity, we've said pretty much the same thing about them for years.

I still think the whole lot of them are soft-minded gullible fools. The propaganda worked. The grifting worked. That's the point, and as he said, he got no attention until he used R-rated language. And that language is still the topic, not the propaganda or how the hordes were mobilized.

The lawyer is just doing his job. "Just following orders" isn't a defense, particularly when Dear Leader was careful to not give overly direct orders. So he's bringing up the mental condition. We'll see if that works.
