The nut doesn't fall far from the tree.

Rudy Giuliani's son Andrew seemed confused about his own resume when speaking to Fox News on Wednesday.
When pitching Martha MacCallum on his candidacy for the governor of New York, he explained that he's spent time in and around government for 32 years, which would mean he would have been working at just three years old.
"I'm the only announced candidate who's spent parts of five decades in politics," he explained. "So, I may look young, but I certainly feel a lot older."

I'd keep wearing a double mask and put on a tinted face shield out in public if I was his parent.

(65,170 posts).."decade" begins with a D, like "duo" so Li'l Andy probably thinks a decade is 2 years.
He's such a dolt!

(57,223 posts)... he started. Unless 32 years is the 'new' five decades.

(65,170 posts)If he's 35, he was born in '86 or '87.
So he's counting 80s, 90s, aughts, teens, twenties. 5 decades.
Of course, he'd be lying about the first 2, as he'd be 13 at most when the 90s ended.
But, like the rest of his ilk, he thinks he's being clever by counting the decades in which he's been alive.
Clever, he isn't.

(59,504 posts)He is counting the 1980s,1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and 2020. The last is abit over 1 year and he is counting the 1980s when he was born.
Incredibly stupid, especially as it begs what he actually DID in those 5 decades.

(101,361 posts)Saying he was "in politics" in the 90s is silly too. Being used for a photo-op for his dad doesn't really count.

(59,504 posts)It is also weird to count decades that way rather than just dividing the number of years by 10. Not to mention, I bet at least one of his competitors could use the same concept to get a similarly bizarre number. If they did, I assume they would mock the calculation as they did. Maybe they could count being involved in mock elections in elementary school.
However, the saner answer is to list his real time spent in either government or politics. I wonder if it just comes down to the very low level Trump job.

(63,221 posts)It's a free-for-all where any schlub with a will to power can throw their hat in the ring. As long as they are crazy enough to get other crazy people's attention, they can get on the ballot. If his father wasn't famous, he'd be hawking fake Rolex's on Canal Street.
I honestly think the kid is brain-damaged.
