3. It's hard to believe that only 95 out of 211 are smart enough to use the brains god gave them.

On the other hand, considering the current GOP maybe this is accurate. What I really believe is that most of them made sure they got vaccinated early but they don't want to tell their base for fear of a push back. Can't believe that that many really stupid people made it all the way into Congress...on the other hand Green and Bobat (just can't take the effort to remember her name, I'm usually too pissed off when I read anything about either of them) made it so perhaps my thinking about Congress is behind the times.

Republicans are putting 116 of their own members at elevated risk for infection. The Democrats won't get Covid-19, because they've been vaccinated. But they could carry the virus. By wearing a mask, the Democrats are signaling that they care about the health and well-being of their Republican colleagues. By spurning the masks, Republicans are exposing 116 members of their own caucus to an easily-mitigated risk.

If someone is that determined to jump in front of a freight train, how much effort do you expend to stop them? You tell them to stop, you warn them that they're going to get hurt, you grab them and try to hold them. When do you finally get exhausted and say, "You know - go ahead. I'm tired of trying to save you from yourself."
