"SNIP......
The filibuster has been on hiatus since Joe Biden took over. Senate Republicans are about to change that over a bipartisan commission to probe the Capitol riot, Politico reports.
Said Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV): So disheartening. It makes you really concerned about our country.
Asked if that is an abuse of the filibuster, he added Im still praying weve still got 10 good solid patriots within that conference.

(25,253 posts)Could this be how Biden and Manchin worked this out so Manchin can save face?
Manchin sticks to his guns hoping for 10 Repug patriots. They don't show up. The 1/6 Commission is filibustered by the Repugs.
Manchin sees the writing on the wall and changes his stance on the filibuster and goes along with the Dems to end it.
Manchin is then able to say that he gave it every chance he could and now he must face reality and vote along with the rest of the Dems to end the filibuster.
Just a thought.

(12,480 posts)And say publically the republicans are abusing the filibuster to dominate the Biden administration and do not want to be bipartisan and they are bad people.
Then tell everyone why they are bad people. On national tv.
Give them no excuses, tolerance or benifiet of doubt. Expose them. Ridicule thier beliefs and agenda.
Tear them apart.
On national tv and call them bad people.

(10,129 posts)He goes into these type of situations thinking that the other side thinks like he does. They do not and his thought process is pure projection. Its the reason why he cant figure this out. They are not good faith negotiators Joe.
