No Masks at work. Just got the email.

Vaccinated no longer need to wear masks.
Of course you still can if you want.
No one will be asked if they are vaccinated but if you stated (I must have missed that email) that you weren’t getting vaccinated you will be expected to wear a mask. Not sure how diligently they will enforce that.

No mention of eating IN the cafeteria.

Mask = social distancing too in all policy.

I think I’m still wearing one next week just because.

Still don’t trust people to be honest about having a vaccine.

and we have to provide docs that we got vaccinated. People who do can drop the mask, others have to keep wearing it.

vaccinated people wearing masks and the unvaccinated not wearing masks. The virus will spread among the unvaccinated and some will get very sick, some will become long haulers and some will die.

Oh well.

It is completely irresponsible to open up (winkng at all those who are pretending to be vaccinated) while we still have children who cannot be vaccinated - especially when we know that the variants currently circulating are more contagious, and more serious in children.

In Minnesota, Osterholm said more than 740 schools reported cases of the variant. In Michigan more young people are ending up in hospitals fighting more serious symptoms than previously seen in children with COVID-19.

This is similar to what health officials have seen in other countries.

A growing body of research indicates that children exposed to COVID-19 face significant and long-term health threats.

Earlier this month, researchers in the United Kingdom released a report showing that about half of the kids who have developed a mysterious, COVID-related complication called Multisystem Inflammatory Syndrome in Children (MIS-C) later experienced neurological symptoms ranging from hallucinations to impaired brain functions.

Not to be corrective. We who did the right thing gave cover to those who didn’t.

They will go en masse unmasked to their places of worship, schools, bars, and large gatherings and not a single one will wear a mask. It’ll spread like wildfire through the unvaccinated. There will be no one in those crowds of people giving cover to them.

(1) when actively teaching (and wearing a shield)

-or- mor generally

(2) when the disease rate in my county is low (under 50 cases per 100,000 people over 2 weeks) and (everyone is actually eligible to be vaccinated OR the vaccination rate hits around 70%)

My county is still red.

Fortunately everyone in my department is still masking up. And I am still going out to my car to eat my lunch. But it won’t be long before it’s too smoking hot for that to be comfortable.

Most of them have suction and nebulized breathing treatments.

It does get hot in the summer going into people's homes with an N95
But, we are so lucky we have them.

Some of our nurses continue to refuse the vax. I got it in December.

Just in case. Based on what the idiot Greene said of Pelosi's decision to continue requiring masks on the floor of the House.
