Backing him is one thing, trying to turn oneself into him is quite a different thing. I don't believe anyone could keep up the pretense indefinitely, and with the Dotard, his "act" isn't an act at all - it was *HIM*, right down to the core. Others may imitate, but he lives it, and is unable to be any other way.
