in Dallas on Memorial weekend, 20,000 have signed a petition to stop it but city says they cannot stop it.They're calling it a patriot roundup, maybe fbi can attend and round up a few of them.
Hopefully it will be a flop.

guess there's no rush in getting a convention center. The heavy hitters are going to have to shell out dough for the rank and file, to get anywhere close to 20,000.

Initially, the convention was being held at Gilley's, which is a multi-purpose entertainment and dining complex in Dallas, but the venue backed out.

Organizers won't say where the events are being held now, but have booked a block of rooms at the Omni hotel in downtown Dallas.
The Omni hotel says, "They provide public accommodations for many organizations and does not reflect or indicates an endorsement."

that they've booked a block of rooms at the Omni (how many is a block? 10, 100?) but haven't got an actual place to have the "convention." Nobody will talk about where and nutjob Allen West who's supposed to speak won't respond to press inquiries. Which is odd as he doesn't miss too many opportunities to hold forth the crazy.

I'll be very surprised if there is much of anything that happens.

It is well known that Qanon was heavily represented at the 1/6 insurrection. Many of the ones who are still at large will attend this event...and, with a little bit of luck and some judicious use of facial recognition software, the FBI should be able to arrest at least 75 to 100 insurrectionists in one weekend.
