(423 posts)- with 1947 borders - and demand Israel forego any future Lebensraum activity - would that be acceptable to their arms suppliers?
Beastly Boy
(9,375 posts)and implies they forego Lebensraum on their part (just to make it clear: Hamas' and Iran's explicit threats to wipe Israel off the map fits your definition of Lebensraum to a T).
But what Biden said was there will be no peace until universal recognition of Israel happens. This is not an offer. So your counter-offer is uncalled for.

(423 posts)Israel will continue universal terrorism and center it on North Africa while ignoring all previous agreements they were party to.{as expected}.
Yes - I understand you have no authority to speak for Israel.
BTW I made no counter-offer. I simply added essential parameters to the original statement.

(9,375 posts)My answer is that you missed the point of the OP, and it appears you did it quite deliberately, just so you can rant some more. Exactly what you did with my post, except now you are putting your words, which have nothing to do with what I said, into my mouth. The oldest trick in the book.
NotANeocon
(423 posts)Yes we all know yours is the ONLY possible interpretation!
Beastly Boy
(9,375 posts)An interpretation that had nothing to do with what Biden said.
Just for once, try to hear what Biden is really saying. It's not subject to interpretation, really. Neither did I attempt one. I just repeated what he said to direct your wayward attention back to it.

Beastly Boy
(9,375 posts)From Bibi's most recent statements that I saw on TV, it appears Biden has him by the balls. Bibi looks scared.

Archaeological digs indicate a Jewish presence in that land going back to 1200 B.C.E. and they have been a majority in Jerusalem since 1844. I don't know why you would want to erase 3,000 plus years of Jewish history in that area and am afraid to find out.
tritsofme
(17,380 posts)There has been continuous Jewish presence in the area for millennia, Jews are not foreigners in their own homeland.
Over 700k Jews fled or were expelled from their historic homes in Arab countries after the wars around Israels creation, the conflicts saw a fairly even population exchange. The difference being that Israel integrated their refugees into society, where Arab countries keep the descendants of refugees in squalid camps and refuse to bring them into their society even after living there for generations.

Israel: *Walks out of room*
i don't think they particularly care who recognizes them as what. They are doing fine, they seize more land when they need it, and no one has the military and/or incentive to stop them.

It was rejected by Arafat, and their response was the violence, terror, and suicide bombings of the Second Intifada.
I think you have it a little backwards on who has been walking out of the room...
