Michael Flynn said today that covid was a conspiracy to control the American people and divert attention away from stealing the election. He said it is not a problem in the rest of world, and he doesn’t worry about it because he has been taking hydroxychloroquin for 30 years.

7. I remember reading something about him a few years ago

when wondering how someone that high up could be so nuts. Apparently, he was a normal guy until he was passed over for a promotion/position he really wanted and that broke him. He was bitter and angry and it snowballed into the crazy he is now.

11. If it were in some other time, I might suspect possible late onset

Of course all kinds of people go through life believing all kinds of wacky crap - but it's somewhat uncommon (or rather it used to be somewhat uncommon) to see someone who was able to function at a high enough level to accomplish the milestones of a 3-star general to suddenly start to regularly and vehemently spout such blatantly, off-the-rails, nuttier-than-a-shithouse-squirrell kind of stuff at this point in his life.

Usually, that behavior would be a sign that something has gone seriously haywire with his health. However, in our current climate of delusion on such a MASSIVE scale, it seems almost everyone now knows at least one person in our own lives who has somehow moved from functioning human into . . . well . . . . . whatever is happening to all of them now.
