Yes, the Republicans are trying to undermine voters' trust in our elections - their problem being that the only people swallowing their bullshit are Republican
voters.
So who's most likely to not bother voting in future? Obviously, it's those who have been told their votes are easily manipulated, tossed out, and/or not counted. Why stand on line to cast a ballot that you've been convinced those Demon Dems will ensure will never see the light of day?
Democrats (and other intelligent, well-informed, sane people) aren't listening, and will continue to go out and vote for (D) candidates.
Gotta hand it to the GOP - that's some brilliant political strategy right there.

(8,543 posts)Their nonsense probably cost them control of the Senate.
And they have no intention of quitting while they're behind.

(54,387 posts)Where Democrats win, they set up independent commissions to inspect vote tallies and, in the case of a Democratic victory, declare them in error.
Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything. attributed to Republican role model and idol, Soviet dictator Josef Stalin.
(Dont believe their anti-kommanist line, its only for show)

(54,387 posts)Barely had time to catch my breath. 48 hours after landing, I was already at work in Sprout City. Yesterday, I had to go to a small, obscure place in the Netherlands thats so far off the beaten track, on either side of the entrance are signs of farmers selling their own home-grown potatoes, asparagus and strawberries. A week ago, I was still in Dallas. Today, at home in Düsseldorf, where our younger daughter is visiting fron the Taunus hills with her two baby girls. Serious reality vertigo, here!

(7,968 posts)why are they still a viable political party after so many years of being disconnected from reality?

(27,814 posts)... over the past four-plus years just how disconnected from reality Republican voters are.
I've always seen them as traditionally ill-informed, and how willing to be duped they can be. But it took Trumpism to expose just how far from reality some people have been all along.

(9,666 posts)Their leadership is demoralizing their own supporters, thinking that they are owning us in doing so. I don't see much downside for them to continue that strategy.
