I used to wake up EVERY morning wondering what fresh, hell caused by the seditious other guy, would I'd learn about when I turned on the morning news.
Now I wake up without even a vague worry about what President Biden and Vice President Harris are up to, because I know they have the best interest of the nations as a priority.
And I fully admit that I live in anticipation of seeing which and how many political and very public comeuppances, being experienced by members of the GQP, will be featured stories.
OK, now I have to go back to channeling Mother Nature to see if I can get some rain showers going here.

(26,263 posts)I've also noticed a vast decline in having to deal with anxiety attacks. Not that I don't still have them, and some of them are still 'other guy' related, but I know if I'm patient, POTUS and/or VPOTUS will say something that snap me back into the new now.

(18,486 posts)And another one - when I hear a CDC recommendation at 10 am, I know it's not going to be thrown out the window with an insane pullback at 4:00 that day, leaving everyone in confusion and turmoil for days on end thereafter.
You literally took the words out of my mouth...totally feel the exact same way!

(70,510 posts).... being good people too. Hire really smart and accomplished people who might disagree with you
and tell you why, let them do their jobs, always give credit to others, and get the job done.
BTW Joe and the K-Bomb are building a Juggernaut of a really strong, diverse, national, majority party,
and the old guard Republicans know that and their are crapping their tighty whities too.
This is what a leader looks like.

(26,263 posts)Yesterday's Medal of Honor ceremony was almost like a audio/visual tonic. Joe so graciously and respectfully helping to steady Colonel Puckett almost brought tears to my eyes. I can't even BEGIN to imagine how the other guy would have reacted. We do know how he reacted when that older man fell and hit his head at Mara Largo so I can't imagine this would have be handled any differently.

(10,098 posts)I would get on my bus to work and look at DU too see what idiotic, racist, dangerous, petty things he was saying and doing.
President Biden's Twitter feed is all positive, wishing well wishes for all of our diverse holiday, people, and traditions.

(26,263 posts)The weird thing is, for as strange as this Spring weather has been, my flowers have been spectacular.
Tomorrow looks like our best chance for rain and, of course, tomorrow is when we planned to do repair work and construct and install new gates on the vegetable garden fence. I saw a MASSIVE groundhog slip through a breech in the fencing. That was the first one I've seen in about 3 years. Fortunately, although it looked for another escape hatch, it ended up exiting via the same breech. None the less, I'll be doing a major fence line check.

(90,705 posts)...was certified as the president-elect, I stood by the kitchen tv and hyperventilated before breaking into sobs.
I feel like my blood pressure has gone down. I wake up anticipating normalcy instead of utter disaster.
I feel so much better these days I was actually surprised at how triggered I got when someone did a quick montage of Trumps nasty facial expressions and favorite nasty comments.
