The government should adopt a new policy. Those seeking security clearances should state that Trump lost and that 1/6 was an insurrection.

(16,646 posts)If your security officer found out you participated, he'd be duty bound to report it and you'd most likely lose your clearance. Unfortunately, it is also likely that your security officer could be sympathetic to Jan 6th.

(3,334 posts)What clearance I had is classified. Actually, everything, after I finished language school, is still classified even though I have been out of the army for 54 years. I don't know what the FBI did besides checking with a few parents of some of my friends from a list I gave the army. I did not have a polygraph test. No one ever talked to me of any of my relatives. I don't know if there have been any changes.
