(53,792 posts)Have they been inside of bubbles while sitting in the Senate all this time? None of those republicans, wait...not enough of those republicans will side with the Dems on this. Romney might, Murkowski might, Collins will show concern but then will toe the repug party line.
So once their pleading stops I hope Manchin and Sinema come out of their bubbles and finally stop with their bi-partisan fantasy and get in line with their party.

(23,642 posts)The events of January 6th were horrific. We could never have imagined an attack on Congress and our Capitol at the hands of our own citizens. In the hours and days following the attack, Republican and Democratic members of Congress condemned the violence and vowed to hold those responsible accountable so our Democracy will never experience an attack like this again. A bipartisan commission to investigate the events of that day has passed the House of Representatives with a bipartisan vote and is a critical step to ensuring our nation never has to endure an attack at the hands of our countrymen again. We implore our Senate Republican colleagues to work with us to find a path forward on a commission to examine the events of January 6th.

(256 posts)Folks risked their lives, standing in
long lines inspite of Covid to deliver
a trifecta to the Democrats.
Instead of uniting to get the agenda
through for the American people,
we have 2 Democrats BEGGING
Republicans to vote for legislation.
Is this where they're at now?
BEGGING the other side instead of
uniting with their own party?
