Abused people
Sad truth is child abuse in all it's forms is frightenly common in America.
The infrastructure ,resources and places to stop child abuse,or heal from it are crazy underfunded and places that can help are overloaded with cases and far and few between.
I think this may be on purpose because republicans always get in the way and vote down anything that truly helps people.
Like they didn't vote for the violence against women act.
When abused people who are in denial about abuse are reacting to triggers they have trouble
with critical thinking and in that trigger situation they become easy to control.
I think trigger manipulation is why trump called the insurrectionists very special people and said that he cared about them.
Kids that are abused by hateful parents long thier whole lives for a father/mother figure to love them. Kids will automatically blame themselves for abuse they face when thier survival depends on the abusive parents.
Kids have to deny abuse is abuse because admitting it would crush thier psyche.
And they'd have nobody to help them.
I have PTSD and had to confront abuse and put the blame where it belonged on my asshole father,not myself.
Sometimes the triggers put me back at the time abuse happened to me and I feel the pain of blaming myself like I did when I was a kid.
I had to learn to calm and soothe myself like my parents didn't.
It's taken me decades to even begin to learn how to do this.
So watch the right wingers and how they exploit the dynamics of abuse, and narcissism sociopathy and authoritarian personalities together into a toxic brew.
The exploited adults who were as kids denied love,safety and help as kids ,have misplaced hatred.
Hate can be misplaced like anger.
Hate can be triggered and aimed like a loaded gun at targets that have nothing to do with who hurt them.
Because they can't face the past.
Those abuse dynamics are what prompts the hurt people to give the narcissist,sociopath and authoritarian power. Because they are just like the parents that abused them,or close enough.
Hurt children all grown up who were never able to face whatever abuse they had done to them are ripe for exploitation by rightwingers with dark triad personality .
The abused but still in denial about it are jealous of abused people who get help and they call them snowflakes when literally they are the snowflakes because of thier abuse dynamics triggering them all the time.
They hate social justice, people who have empathy, safe spaces ,vulnerable people,and say shit like fuck your feelings. because of abuse..and the dark triad people just exploit them and thier pasts.
They wanted thier parents to love them so they retraumatize themselves with narcissists,sociopaths and authoritarians, who are just the type of asshole who terrorized them when they were little.
They will go on reliving the trauma as thier minds and bodies push them to heal. And that takes a long time and healing may not happen when traumatized people have no help or therapy or even a safe place to face it.
Trauma literally burns brain connections. My temporal lobes are scarred because of what I went through.
It shows up in my MRI scans.
Temporal lobes are part of the brain that makes executive decisions.
And the brain is trying to heal itself. And it is failing because trauma hurts and pain avoidance is a normal fuction of self survival,even psychologically.
Trauma is very hard to heal from but it can be exploited by bad people.
