(101,322 posts)They may think banning of the bots is implied by "major tech moderation and policy actions meant to counter the conspiracy theory", but they do mention another aspect, changes to recommendation algorithms, explicitly. I think with any trend on social media that involves divisiveness, or a significant part of 'the establishment' being painted in a bad light, you have to ask if there's someone who'd benefit from it who has been running a bot network.
A decrease in the phrases may indicate the bot networks have moved on; the controllers don't see the benefit of stirring this up right now, and there's no point in risking your bots being analysed and then banned if you don't get any use out of it.
