MTG Condemns Kevin McCarthy, Steve Scalise and Elise Stefanik for Not Defending Her

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) condemned Republican House leadership on Wednesday for not defending her amid fallout over her recent comparisons of mask mandates to the treatment of Jews in Nazi Germany.

Greene said that it was "a shame" that House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.), Republican Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) and GOP Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) denounced her Nazi analogy during a Wednesday appearance on Newsmax TV's Greg Kelly Reports. Greene praised Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) in comparison, albeit with a backhanded compliment claiming that Pelosi supports fellow Democrats even when they "stand with Hamas terrorism."

"You have to have respect for Nancy Pelosi, in that she never allows attacks on her own," said Greene. "She defends them even when they sleep with Chinese spies, when they attack Israel, when they stand with Hamas terrorism.... Kevin McCarthy never had to say a word. He could have said, 'You know, you should ask Marjorie about her words and ask her what she has to say.'"

"That would have been the right answer for him," Greene added. "So, it's unfortunate that he took this route. And he didn't even text me or call me, which is really a shame... Elise Stefanik, our new GOP chair, followed suit right along. And then I think Steve Scalise and others. And they shouldn't have done that."

Say, Kev, what crackerjack legislation has she written (she, not someone else) that could possibly semi-justify permitting this deranged behavior from a member of Congress?

I won't wait, though. We all know the answer already.

does not even need to back up or explain - that Democrats "stand with Hamas" - something NO Democrat did. Here, I assume it because they did not give Israel 100% support for how they deal with Palestinians. As to sleeping with Chinese spies - I have no idea.

What is insidious with the formula for this type of comment - essentially, (given X), Republicans should ... is that the responses are all on the prescriptive part. Note that MSN simply calls it a backhanded compliment! Note further that it does not address the ludicrous claim.

The fact is that there is NO Democrat remotely as extreme and dishonest as MTG.

Nobody knows the exact details however Swalwell was investigated years ago and cleared of any wrongdoing.

Rs like Greene have run with the little info we have however and constantly talk about Swalwell sleeping with a Chinese spy.

Might be true. Might not be. Regardless it was years ago. He immediately ended all contact as soon as the Feds informed him about what she was. Cooperated in the investigation and was cleared

Notice how when trumpino's do something utterly stupid or illegal (or both), they attack their own party for not defending them, or not lying hard enough for them, or not doing enough to overturn an election for them?

This isn't a political party, it's a cross between mean girls and the godfather.

But, she has pissed off a lot of Jewish Americans and other Americans who support them, which will translate into less Republican support and votes from those groups if they don't take action to reign this moron in.
She's been pushing the envelope ever since she was sworn in. It's time the House pushed back.
After all, it's not like they're going to get any of the money she raises anyway.

Kevin told you to shut your *** *********, and you didnt listen. If AOC did that, Madame Speaker would behead that fool in public on television, and rightly so.

And the Democratic House knows it.

I did not see Stefanik's comment, granted - but both McConnell and McCarthy used language designed to throw shade at Democrats who dare to believe and say that Palestinians are human beings?

I can't imagine what else the "increasing anti-semitism in the Democrat [sic] Party" coould have meant.

In that its gotten to the point where a QOP member can be threatened with something worse than violence, ...to be ostracized politically and publicly by the more deranged cult-loyal members in their own party if they are not seen as being sufficiently subservient to the Fuhrer.
