The vote was an overwhelmingly bipartisan vote - 91-4.
The four Senators who voted against it were:
Cotton (R-AR)
Hawley (R-MO)
Rubio (R-FL)
Sanders (I-VT)

Bernie voted against it as it sounds like a nothing burger . . . just sound and fury and signifying nothing????
Like voting for mom and apple pie with no social security and medicare for mom nor SNAP benefits to purchase the apples . . .

These words, ensure, improve, and promote are nothing-burger platitudes unless backed by LAWS and Penalties.

I'll bet most of the people attacking Democrats for voting on this amendment couldn't tell us a single other thing Democrats voted on on the last week other than the 1/6 commission
If they're going to critique what they're voting on, folks should at least educate themselves about what Congress votes on and not just jump all over the one or two votes they just happens to hear about.

As for I-Sanders, he's a usually reliable +1 for whatever Democratic legislators produce, and most of his dissensions do no harm and allow him to claim them as proof that he's not just tagging along with whatever the Democratic Party does.
