he's worried because he KNOWS several GOP politicians were directly involved.
He sounds more desperate than he has ever sounded right now.
I hope to God we move forward with the investigation and save our country.

(58,661 posts)Numerous repubs are already implicated peripherally, at least. If they lose any seats to this, their quest to retake the House is doomed.
I don't see them re-gaining the House as a foregone conclusion anyway, but they already look bad as it is. Keeping this event in the news for the next few months is a political loser for them. Dems need to keep the 2018 Blue Wave going. This would be additional motivation.

(7,814 posts)Jan 6 but from deals, crimes, collusion, coordination going back to 2015. RNC, NRA, and individual members are in hip-deep and unless they find a way to soften the news the entire party could go under.
I think this is what they are fighting for. Certainly not for policies, ideas, solutions, and helping the rest of us.
