What is up w the Senate Republicans right now?

Why are the stalling the vote on the commission? If they have the 41 votes needed to block it, why are they essentially holding a talking filibuster on this other bill, forcing them to stay into the wee hours to vote on the commission?

They’re losing sleep and delaying recess. Why? This move doesn’t make sense.

but I would be willing to bet the vast majority of the country don't even know about it. Regardless, the fewer people watching it unfold on TV, the better it is for the republicans.

They want this to go away. And tomorrow is the start of a holiday weekend. Nobody is going to talk about what Traitorous Pigs they are, and the news media will all be gone.

The Majority Leader sets the vote, and if all of the Democrats aren't there, he'll get them there.

He has to know there are at least 4-5 votes. So what's another 2?

Sixty. That's the # which would humiliate him. 3 Votes short is as good as a mile. He's concerned about 60, not 57.

If I heard there were 9 votes, that would pique my interest.

They’re probably the ones who voted to convict. Are they stalling while he’s whipping the Republicans to keep from losing the last 3 needed?
