Sen. Tester: “We’ve got to get to the bottom of this shit. Jesus. It’s a nonpartisan investigation of what happened. And if it’s because they’re afraid of Trump then they need to get out of office. It’s bullshit. You make tough decisions in this office or you shouldn’t be here.”

most of the republicans are part of the trump corruption, and "any" investigation into what trump did to make the riot happen, would most likely lead to investigations on them, and they don't want that, especially Mitch!

For him to ask other Senators to vote against a commission as a favor to him, pretty much shows just how scared he really is of all his dirty secrets coming out.

We already look like laughingstocks to the rest of the world when we beat our chests and brag of our democracy and rule of law.

The only way to save our reputation and bring the criminals to justice is to put the hammer down and choke them to death with it.

The country will recover. I'm not a conservative and don't give a shit about Republicans, but an effective opposition party is what this country needs right now as a counterbalance to Democratic policies, not a bunch of fascists that pretend to be one thing but intend to be something entirely different.

Because of his Chinese wife. He knows if that investigation is re-opened he will be in it. Hanging on to power is all he has left. He was on the floor Thursday walking up, getting right in Republican’s faces as they voted on various bill, trying to intimidate them. It was so obvious. Many walked around him. His desperation is showing, asking for personal favors.

Gianforte for governor, Steve "Where's-Yer-Neck!" Daines for our other senator, and Matt "Don't-Have-a-Good-Nickname-For-But-Give-Me-Time" Rosendale, plus a state legislature that is chock-a-block with Trump-humping Republicans.

18. The BIG question is "Why are they afraid of trump?"
Fri May 28, 2021, 01:21 PM
May 2021

Everyone knows who trump is, he is a buffoon, a dangerous one, but still a buffoon. He is an ignorant human being who only knows evil, but he is also someone who would be easy to get rid of if republicans were not compromised up to their necks.

Why is it that no one is asking these repubs the question "why are you afraid of trump?" Of course they will say, "I am not afraid of trump, why would I be?" and the answer from the interviewer should be "I don't know why you are afraid of trump, that is why I am asking you."

These people decided they wanted to get the power before 2016, they compromised themselves, and now the buffoon has the goodies on each one of them, so they are running afraid.

Someone posted that the repubs are not afraid, that they are just trying to destroy democracy and bring a dictatorship to the land. I agree that they dream with being dictators and that they want to destroy Democracy, but I don't buy that they are not afraid because in 2015 they said what they thought of trump during the early days of the campaign to elect a nominee, they know he is an ignorant, etc. (I don't want to list all the faults of the SOB, we all know them too well), that he is not fit to lead, so yes, THEY ARE AFRAID!

Anyone have a better explanation please provide...Another question...why don't they want an investigation? Because they are afraid knowing what they know of their implication.

Some like hate crime Hawley and Cancun Cruz are complicit, so a yes vote is a vote for their own indictment.

With McTurtle asking for personal favors , I am curious what kompromat they have on McTurtle and wife beyond normal rethuglican corruption.

Time to start upping the charges on everyone who was involved to include at least two counts of felony murder. Officer Sicknick and the criminal who were shot are both foreseeable eventuality of the underlying crime, that makes both deaths felony murder. They will start singing like canaries when faced with two sentences of 25 to life.

I mean, insurrection, rebellion, attacks on government institutions at the highest level .... maybe political free speech is not the proper lens to understand the conspiracies and violence.

As posted before, if they'd done this in their neighborhood or hometown they'd be in jail today, working on a plea deal and hiring lawyers for the civil suits and restitution.

Trump sent some form of federal security to Portland. So what's not going on here that might be expected to weigh in?
