Is it possible data will be lost if the Jan 6 investigation is delayed

too long? A political commentator was concerned that cell companies may not keep some data, like texts, indefinitely. Witnesses' memories of details can fade or become less accurate. It certainly could get more difficult as time passes.

Some cellphone carriers only keep text messages 60 days, some 180 days while others 7 years. It all depends what carrier was used.
