Votes 100% for Biden’s bills as does Sinema.

Is a Dem in a state that went for Trump by 40 points.

Is the alternative to a Republican there which we will def get if he leaves

Ya know? I’m irked too though. Come on, man.

(paraphrase) The vote on forming a commission was 54 (for) 35 (against) Any sports organization in the world would say 54 beats 35. But the commission was defeated.

I was on the fence for a long time about the filibuster. After reading and understanding better, I made up my mind: get rid of the filibuster. Until we do, the r's will abuse it, and block every single thing that comes to the Senate for a vote. Take it away from them. If the time comes that the garbage is gone from the U.S. House and Senate, reactivate it.

Also, it’s unilateral disarmament by the Democrats in the general. If you’re saying it’s off limits to question Biden’s (manifest in)coherence, then does that mean liberals are saying Trump gets a pass for his (much worse) incoherence?

I think that’s a bit pedantic. Whether he is in cognitive decline or has dementia or is simply gaffe-prone, there’s no debate he has clear issues, they’re visible to all of us, the stammer doesn’t explain most of them, and it’ll definitely be used against him in the general.

As crappy as Manchin is, Mehdi is no better.

Not to understand something, vs insult him by saying he isn’t very bright. Anyone who has managed to stay in office this long with an electorate stacked against him, probably isn’t dumb. And since Mehdi hasn’t succeeded at that himself, it just seems inappropriate to attribute what could be a political strategy, or a surprisingly naive point of view, to stupidity.

It doesn't appear in the constitution and in its present form, it has allowed both houses of Congress to be held hostage to the go of one old man, something the framers never wanted to happen.

Somebody needs to rub his nose in this part. Somebody also needs to offer the pigheaded dope a compromise, a suspension of the filibuster during which it is altered to reflect its original use, as a last ditch protest by a minority party, too cumbersome an onerous to be used as a tool of regular business.
