Mitch McConnell's end game.

Everyone seems to think that he's interfering with the Capitol investigation because he is hoping it will improve his chances for reelection. We all just gloss over the fact that he knows that a thorough investigation will discover that GOP Congresspeople participated in the insurrection.

But, I'll take it a step farther. He's doing everything he can to put an end to the investigation BECAUSE he's expecting quid pro quo when the investigation begins against his wife's wrongdoing. He's expecting the same level of obstruction.

So mentally sick, these GOPers, who can depend on their supporters to either be too stupid to figure out their game, or supportive, because they understand.

there are sympathizers in the GOP. As the fear and cowardice envelope the GOP. ALL of them are complicit because ALL of them are not speaking the truth. They all know what happened and who did what. Let's remember that cocktail parties and whisper networks have not stopped in DC. They go on and on. And in those social gatherings, they drink and talk. So they all are informed on an informal basis.

They all know that Gosar and Greene and Boebart and Kennedy and Brooks and Gaetz and Tuberville coordinated the attacks. (Sheesh. I live nearly 3 thousand miles away from the Capitol, and even I know what happened!) They know who the others were as well.

When will GOPers have the courage to tell the truth in public? Only when they are forced.

It would potentially cost the Republicans a significant number of seats in both the house and the senate, potentially setting up an opportunity to undo all of the fuckery that St. Ronnie started.

McConnell doesn't want this on his watch.

I really think it is that simple.

The Republicans that voted for the investigation want to get Trump and the white nationalists out of the party. They are willing to take the losses to reclaim and reorganize their party.

This isn't over yet. They will force Biden to do this through other means.

instead of hammering the fact that it's all about a cover up?

Frankly, I think it's time we Democrats become extremely agitated and restless toward our leaders in Congress.

When a 39 percent voting block rules over a 61-percent voting block (basically the 54-35 vote on the investigative committee), we don't have a democracy, we don't have democratic representation.

I am emailing my rep, my Senators, Schumer, Manchin and Sinema this morning to let them know what I think and how I feel about this. The filibuster has to go. Here's the gist of what I''m going to say to them:

The 54 to 35 vote was 61% to 39% when you round the numbers.

It's not just wrong, but bizarre when a nation that tends to view itself as the greatest
democracy in the world is ruled by a 39 percent voting block over a 61% voting block.

That's not democracy by any stretch. If our legislative bodies don't function democratically, what good is so-called "democratic" representation? We don't have a democracy when it comes to representation. Neither the House or the Senate currently reflect the electoral vote or the policy wishes of the people.

There have also been times when the Presidency does not reflect the vote of the people as we well and painfully know.

We don't have a great, let alone the world's greatest democracy.

But McConnell's desire for power is almost certainly greater than his loyalty to his wife. He will sacrifice his wife if he can do it in a way that moves him even incrementally toward regaining the Senate majority. He and Trump are alike in that respect. McConnell is just as ruthless, but is becoming a greater threat as Trump fades because unlike Trump he has an attention span greater than a gnat's and takes great pains to plan and carry out his treachery.

The Tea Party has converted fully into QAnon. They are also an enormous voting block for the Republicans. They are also fully embedded in the party as elected officials. With out them, they will be wrecked in every election for the next few cycles. Because they drove out all the moderates and principled people in the party. Keep in mind George Will and Grover Norquest no longer have a place in the Republican party, that's how far off the script the whole party is.

They can't abandon the QFreaks, they don't have much trust with anybody else. The Religious Right is a shadow of what it was, again, moderates have been purged, they literally have nothing left to hang on to.

Mitch has made minority rule, starting the day Obama took the oath of office, their only lever of power. They cling to power with gerrymandering red states, the weaknesses of the Electorial College, and the Filibuster.

So yes, Mitch is no dummy, he's nailing two birds with one stone, because he only has one stone to throw.

Mitch doesn't want his members exposed which would pressure corporate donors to not donate to Republicans. Mitch is in his position because he brings in the bacon from corporate donors.

Her family is directly connected to the highest echelons of the Chinese government and even perhaps Chinese intelligence. The Trump administration shut down the investigation into her wrongdoing. What was the quid pro quo?

But it’s too long. “Mitch McConnell’s End” is what I want to see. How many lies can he store in all those flabby chins?
He and his wife are stupid rich. He is hanging around for one reason. He is an evil asshole. Why not spend his remaining days just spending it. Addicted to power and destroying others lives. He is sick. Just not sick enough to die and do the world a favor.
