The Eleven Senators

They were absent. They did not vote against a Commission to investigate 1/6. But, again, they did not vote for a Commission either.

What was their message? (It is reported that Patty Murray was absent because of a personal issue in the family) But what about all the others?

What is their excuse?

The security of our democracy at stake, and they do not show up.

A lot of Americans took the day off as well. Happens every year. The only question is was the vote scheduled before the put their request in? If not and it was approved. What can you do? Most were probably out of DC by then.

But, they're not paid to fluff off their obligations. It didn't hurt their vote much, obviously, but it's a privilege to be part of Congress. Just more evidence of their total indifference to We The People.
