Man tried to buy woman's 2-year-old son in N.J. park

After several failed attempts, he met with two other men between the ages of 25 and 30 before leaving the park through the Park Heights Avenue gate in Dover Township, police said.

The man who was seeking the child was described by police as being 5-feet, 7-inches tall and between the ages of 47 and 58 with a gold tooth in his mouth. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a black baseball hat with an “RM” logo.

A detective with the State Police Forensic Imaging Unit created a composite sketch of the suspect and released it to the public Saturday morning in an attempt to find someone who could identify him.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the Morris County Park Police Detective Bureau at 862-325-7716
