How can a man that has engineered imaginary scandals of other people for years, fairytales of his own wealth and fantasies about his intellectual strengths fall for such obviously ridiculous stories and conspiracies of his returning to office?? He must be faking it all and it would convenient condition to have during sentencing for his criminal past which he will soon face.

(115,833 posts)And "faking" crazy wouldn't do him any good anyhow because the insanity defense hardly ever works (you have to be so psychotic you don't understand the nature of your acts) - not that he'd ever let his lawyers raise it because he clearly does not believe he's crazy.

He's acting like someone who would understand the accusations and the proceedings. And not like it and try to cheat his way out of it, but that only proves he's not unfit to stand trial.

I'm sure his lawyers will try -- because his lawyers always try everything especially things which lead to delays -- but if he avoids prosecution or conviction it won't be because he succeeded in arguing incompetence or insanity.
