A part of many of our childhoods died last week

Actor Paul Soles passed away at age 90. He was the voice of Hermey the Elf, who wanted to be a dentist in the Rudolph cartoon. And now on to apophenia...

He also was in 2001's, "The Score," starring Robert Dinero and Ed Norton, and I like to think that with Norton's being given a lot of creative control over the 2008 Hulk "requel," that he brought Soles on as Bruce Banner's pizza place-owning friend, Stanley (Stan Lee - get it?)... as he voiced several characters in the 1960s Marvel cartoons including... Bruce Banner in the Hulk cartoon. He also voiced the original cartoon Spider-Man and other minor characters in those two shows as well as the Captain America cartoon.
It's all wheels within wheels, man.

Interestingly, he also lived at the same retirement community as Billie Mae Richards, who voiced Rudolph, until her death in 2010.
