He wants to run in 2024, and he wants Trump gone. Most of them do.
The constant acting like they worship him is tiresome even to them.
The other reason is they so fear losing their cushy gig, that they want to lock in that 20% of voters.
They're not afraid of, or have allegiance to T***p. They're afraid the knuckledraggers that make up 40% of their base won't bother to vote.
