Amazon is run by a bunch of dummies: Anyone on DU sell through them?

Their automated system asked several times for a shipment from me, I talked to someone over the phone who knew nothing, I emailed, I disputed, and now, they're sending me back the inventory in drips and drabs.

If they had only looked at my sales history, they would have k now not to demand that I ship to them until I hade made a sale, which only happens a couple times a year!!

Total morons!!!

It's terrifying to think they're the biggest company in the world, and they don't understand the simplest of business concepts: inventory/demand.

Their system is designed for volume sellers. They don't want to be bothered with sideliners. Period.

i guess its too much to ask for them to use a little more of their profits for service related issues.

i dont think they even care too much about the volume sellers.
they make them expend just as much effort to keep their business working.

Me.

and have to say how surprised I am that they are on it. But this is a different division.

Authors have other issues with them, but authors don't ever have to send Amazon inventory.

That was my last "job" before I retired. The company I was with closed down the division and I had 2 years to go before I could claim Soc. Sec. so I sold books for 2 years to pay the bills. It was a life saver.
