Well, he sure didn't get a lot of applause or standing ovations.

I don't know how long he was "on" but it certainly wasn't a speech that would get anyone excited until he got into not being the one to undermine democracy. That did buy him a standing ovation, but it was far into the lackluster talk. After all, he is the leader protecting the rights of ALL. I did see some arms raised in the old Hitler salutation, though. Looks strange when you see those arms go up in the dark against the American flags standing behind him.

He got applause for demanding reparations from China for the pandemic...like $10T or more. (Oh, I didn't know the Biden family has received millions of dollars from China.) Zuckerberg got a lot of mention and, of course, won't be eating at the WH when he returns one day.

He encouraged people to enroll their children in religious or private schools, since the public schools will be pushing Critical Racist Theory...whatever that is. The left will instill their radical ideas into our children, and he brought up AOC, Sanders and the rest of the progressives as awful people.

He touched the radical prosecutors coming after him in the courts, as they've tried to do for so many years. Millions upon millions of documents, records and reports...ruining families, which I assume are his kids and Weisselberg. Oh, speaking of family, he introduced Lara Trump early on and had her speak. She announced she won't e running for NC senator (but Ted Budd would be).

Oh, and the VA gives him a 92% approval rating? He also had a dramatic description of mothers falling on coffins when the doors opened at Dover after having spoken to him about the wonderful accomplishments of their children just moments before. I'm sure that happened a lot. How many times do you suppose he went to Dover to greet the coffins?

All in all, it was a recap of all the wonderful things he did while in office, the lives he saved during the pandemic...actually, all over the world, due to his vaccine...the best economy, pulling troops out of all those countries, forcing countries to pay their fair share...all the usual, ad nauseum. Oh, and he saved us from thousands of MS13 thugs/murderers...incredible work, along with his wonderful wall (500 miles) and all the people he kept from entering the US.

And, of course, Biden is doing a horrible job (although he suggested someone else may be doing the real work) and that he was illegitimately sitting in his chair...all the awful fraud that happened during the 2020 election and how it would be proven. That Arizona's fraudit should be done in 3-4 more weeks.

He got laughter and some applause when he cussed, which tells you what turns them on.

Truthfully, you didn't miss a thing!

for having the 'stomach' to actually sit and watch/listen to ANY of it.
Ain't NO WAY I could have or would have been willing to do so - my stomach (or my punched-out TV) just couldn't take it!

but he controlled his anger pretty well. I found myself watching the shiny spots on his face. Poor makeup or a lot of sweat. He did stick to the teleprompter, at times, but also spewed garbage of his own. The immigration part sounded more like Miller than Trump.

And, of course, his numbers were always wrong.

No one knows why but this was just after Trump gave Voigt the Presidential Medal of Freedom....again no one is sure why.

The POTUS is out of the country. What happened to not criticizing POTUS when they aren’t here?

I was surprised he brought up the investigations against him, but of course, they are wrong and corrupt. You probably guessed that.

The one thing I didn't catch was any mention of 1/6. If he talked about it, it went over my head. When watching him, my mind tends to wander...

When he was on the teleprompter, he stayed on one side for quite awhile then reverted to the other...almost as though he was leaning on his elbow and reading. Those times sounded like Stephen Miller, which always makes me cringe. I felt that he preached his own words more often than read them from the prompter. He'd get "into it" from time to time and I got the feeling he was trying to hold it back, but I'll bet he explodes during his next rally/performance. He's primed and has the anger stored up since January.

They need to get the 1/6 trials/SDNY hearings going. Then, I think you'll see the fireworks erupt.

At least he didn't mention August.

17. Families do not go to Dover to "meet coffins"
Sat Jun 5, 2021, 11:29 PM
Jun 2021

US military and official civilian dead do not arrive at Dover AFB, Delaware, in coffins. They come in sealed metal "transfer cases". The remains of dead Americans are cleaned up as best they can be in overseas areas and then placed in sealed aluminum cases. Families do not come to Dover.

At Dover, military mortuary specialists clean them up even more and prepare the remains for burial. In the case of remains deemed not viewable, they do the best they can in case a family member insists that a casket be opened. Viewable remains are reconstructed where necessary, dressed in clean uniform with all insignia, awards and decorations attached, and made presentable.

Trump lied as usual. But what sets me off as an old soldier is that he lied about dead soldiers. Goddam but that man is one evil, ignorant MF.

that will go over with his base, hitting the emotional chords they expect to hear. The fact that they are total fiction is of no concern to him or them. And the damage such lies do is not even a comprehensible idea to that type.

The Convention Center in Greenville isn't overly large. The site says it can handle crowds up to 25k, but seating for an event, only up to 2500. I grew up there, and I'd definitely go with the smaller number of 2500. No way the state GOP pulled off 25k for their annual convention, even for Dolt.
