West Virginia and Arizona and have Manchin and Sinema accompany him. He needs to sell his programs to these people which could make a real difference.

(1,381 posts)Trump won 68.62 to Biden 32.1.
I dont think Biden appealing to West Virginia voters would hold much sway.

(718 posts)Trump made them a bunch promises that he never kept. Biden is actually diving in and providing real help in a lot of different ways.

(718 posts)and explained his proposals he would get a good reception and some would come over to his side. Explaining that hes not planning on taking all their guns and that hes not going to restrict their right to worship would go a long way. So many of these folks just hear the republican talking points.

(94,602 posts)The underlying point is that the post I responded to suggested that Biden drag Manchin back to WV and use his "grassroots appeal" to convince voters to pressure Manchin to go along with the Democratic Leadership's policy positions. In TODAY's WV, that's not going to happen.

(68,593 posts)margin for Trump of any state. But I will say this. President Obama campaigned in all 50 states thanks to a contested primary...it was close in 08-way closer than 16. Also, Howard Dean ran a 50 state campaign for the Senate and the House. And that is what needs to happen again.
