I thought I was seeing things, but no, Chris Mathews is on Meet the Press!

I haven't even heard Chris's name mentioned, let alone see him anywhere since he was fired quite a while ago, but there he was! I wonder if this is the beginning of a comeback for him?

starting with Joy Reid on M$NBComcast. Hawking a book He was also on the View and a few other programs. Tweety has his weaknesses like the rest of us but he knows more about politics than many who are on air.

I think only Lawrence O'donnell comes close to knowledge of the inner workings of Congress of those with regular shows.

5. I wish they would ask Mathews to interview Manchin and Sinema.

It would be interesting to see how they hold under fire. It's frustrating when I see Sinema on TV spewing nonsense about the origin and purpose of the filibuster and not being challenged with follow up questions by the interviewer.

He was always more of a monologue than someone who did tough interviews. I'm not so sure he would actually disagree with their positions in any event.

He softballed trump for example. I stopped watching him after that.

… my SO got an advance copy (you guessed it, she's in publishing).

I know there are DUers who loathe Tweety, but you all owe it to yourself to read it - an eye-popping view of how the sausage was made, and Chris knows how to make the whole thing a page-turner.

I, personally, am happy he no longer has a show.

11. He says he *retired* not fired. At least MAHER kept him fenced-in on NO talk except issues. Quiet as

Drumpf in his diapers and TelePrompter. With Joy REID and The View he got to frame things his way - said slam-bam he did "wrong" and NO further talk about that!1

That said, his fer caca "book" (about HIS life, "this COUNTRY"?) - his internet blurb sounds like he wrote it himself, how he by his own self COVERED all the events that took place during his lifetime. Uh...

How is NBC hosting him after he did "WRONG" under their umbrella, like Faux having O'LOOFAH back.

Nobody network-connected on a book tour is ever denied face-time, especially on his old network, unless he actively burnt bridges with the suits. Tweety didn't burn bridges with the suits, he simply lost the cost-benefit analysis.
