Linn and Livingston counties have the highest number of new COVID-19 cases for the past week not just in Missouri, but the country, based on the The New York Times tracker as of Saturday.

Much of the spread is happening among people younger than 50, where there's "very, very large vaccine hesitancy," Geno said.

"Our vaccination rates aren't terrible in the elderly population, but they're abysmal in the under-50 age group," he said.

My expectation is that the distriution of fatalities is close to equal, with the greater susceptibility of some minorities being offset by reckless behavior on the part of Covid-denying Republicans. But I've not seen any actual data.

White conservatives is a persistent talking point that people of color are engaged in a U.S. White genocide.

They are self eliminating themselves with their anti-vax and their own guns.

This will make a difference of about .02% in voting terms. But since it will drive blues to other blue areas because they can't stand redland uber alles anymore, I doubt it will make any difference.
