Because he already lost the trumpanzee vote by voting to remove 45. Twice.

The only way he can stay relevant if he brings home the bacon to his home state. And the only way he can do that is to allow Democrats to have free hand to pass sweeping legislation.

Intraparty obstructionism only loses seats.

Remember West Virginia's recently past Democratic senators, Byrd and Rockefeller.

And they did bring home the bacon in terms of infrastructure spending. Byrd alone has a wikipedia page dedicated to listing all the places and monuments named after him.

49 other Republicans. He stays a Democrat he can screw up everything and give the Presidency to Trump or some other nut 2024. The pharacutical industry set his daughter up for a job. Maybe there is something else he can be paid off with.
