(4,131 posts)We are a big tent party with progressives and moderates. Ill always push our moderates to the left, and always vote for progressive candidates over moderates, but folks need some semblance of pragmatism.
The alternative to Joe Manchin - who votes with us most of the time - is a Trump Republican who voted with us none of the time.

There are no votes on anything particularly controversial. He makes sure of it.
He and Sinema are using the filibuster as a shield so they dont have to go on record voting against progressive legislation.

The law suits filed against these egregious voter suppression laws will buy democracy time says Marc Elias, confident that much of them will be struck down in the courts. Its the best we have..for now. Please make a plan and support those that are on the front lines of the fight. Plus all of the organizations listed below have suggestions on how to help
