I just read about Harry and Meghan's new baby. It's a girl named "Lilibet" Lilly Diana

https://www.aol.com/lifestyle/meghan-harry-welcome-second-child-160219906-161728522.html

While I am not a fan of the royal family, I am glad for Harry and Meghan, especially since they lost a baby last year.

I also like the fact that they are honoring the Queen by using her childhood name of "Lilibet." That's nice.

It was crappy that so many people were talking about the kids' skin color. The hell with them.

1. I believe half or less of what's come out of either side of that family feud

Gawd knows I've had some relatives say some pretty horrific things. Fortunately our whole family wasn't painted with the same brush.

And, frankly, I think there have been enough self serving (and sometimes just flat out untrue) proclamations to fuel a back channel soap opera.

That being said, I love that they used Queen Elizabeth's childhood nick name for their daughter. It was also the name Prince Phillip called her. Hopefully it was a sincere homage and not a calculated flattery.

Hopefully Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet will life a safe, peaceful and productive life.

3. I'm sure it was Princess Michael of Kent, married to Queen Elizabeth's cousin Michael of Kent

Her father was a Nazi.

She's been know to spew some pretty racist stuff. I also remember her wearing an offensive Blackamoor broach at a get together attended by Harry and Meghan.

Yea, my money is on Princess Michael of Kent.

but I can see it having been Charles. Especially if egged on by Camilla.

And I can certainly see the media beingabusive.

I find it easy to take a side.

And I don't doubt that racism exists in that family.

10. Well, I was never a fan of Diana's

She was a good woman who wasn't able to handle the situation she could easily have avoided. It's just a pity that Charles didn't 'man up' when he was younger, and marry Camilla when he first had the chance. I somehow doubt Diana would have ever really found true happiness. I could be wrong - I often am - but that's just my gut feeling.

Oh well, none of us really knows the nitty gritty of these family situations. And I'm sure lots of racist stuff has been said, over the years, in many families. They are not the exception or epitome of vileness. That titles goes to another family I think we've all been reading alot about, lately.

To their family. Now.. can we let these people enjoy their life in peace? I’m pretty sure that’s why they settled down here.

My grandson, Grayson, (named after my late husband). He’s on his way. Daughter-in-law’s water broke at noon. Asked my daughter what date it was and she said D Day (she’s a history teacher). Sorry, I’m nervous.

It is special and I know way too many little girls named some version of Lily.... Lillian, Lillith and others but all called Lili.

My kids can attest that Santa Barbara is a nice place to grow up. Sunshine, beaches, and all that.

As for Montecito, where people like us could never afford to live, over the years I’ve been to a number of meetings there held by liberals/Democrats/supporters of Planned Parenthood/ members of my graduate school classes… You get the picture. Rolling in dough doesn’t mean you automatically lose your soul.

What it does mean is that you can afford a great deal of privacy, security, and the ability to stroll thru the local stores without people’s heads turning.

All the best to Archie, Lilibet, and their Mama and Dad.
