Remove Manchin as Chairman of the Senate Energy Committee

Seriously, he can't even find the energy to save voting rights or pass an infrastructure bill. He's also an anti-environmentalist and is only chairman of the senate energy committee because democrats think they can appease him. We can't.

exchange for getting the majority back? No thanks.

If you want to sideline Manchin, get a 53-47 or 52-48 majority after the 2022 Senate election cycle. Then people can play DINO games all they want.

And have the new majority leader McConnell appoint him as Chair of the Energy Committee as they then take control of every committee.

That's Republican behavior not ours.

And a time who thinks this is a great idea should consider how they'd like it of a conservative Majority Leader removed a liberal chair because he didn't like how they voted in a bill we cared about.

On top of that, what good would it do? It certainly won't make him change his vote. It could however give him reason to switch to being a Republican - or an Independent who caucuses with Republicans - thereby turning the Senate over to Mitch McConnell who would surely be more than willing to reward Manchin by restoring his committee chairmanships

Leave that kind of low-brow bullying retaliation to the Republicans. Instead of coming up with ways to punish Manchin, we need to be working on ways to make him irrelevant.

Make DC the 51st state! Squeeze in statehood for Puerto Rico too if at all possible. Just f’ing DO IT, DAMMIT!

That’ll give us two more Democrats in the Senate (for DC) and two more if we get Puerto Rico in there too.

Do an end run around the SOB and take his “I’m IMPORTANT now!” positioning away. Same for Sinema. Then we’ll have a SECURE advantage in the Senate, maybe for awhile, and Manchin and Sinema just simply won’t matter anymore.

Take their “everybody look at ME! I’m a Big Shot!” strut away.

And who the heck do they think they are, anyway? Some cockeyed self-anointed Senate Surreality Scolds?

My kingdom for a Machiavellian or two on our side. We don’t fight as ferociously, ruthlessly, or as deviously - as we should. And we need to.

With apologies to The Who, let’s NOT get fooled again!
